This site is no longer the website
of the kings Lynn writers’ circle. Unfortunately the writer’s circle appears to
have become the chris. gutteridge appreciation society and I have been informed
by email, by the grand Poobah himself, that I am no longer welcome. Apparently
I had the temerity to voice my opinions, in what I naively assumed to be an
open forum, about not wishing to be a part of any workshop run by a friend of
the great Poobah as I did not like or trust this person by reason of my own
experiences concerning this person in the past. If one can't speak ones mind,
then what is the point in having a writers’ circle I wonder. Unless, of course,
it is for the purpose of personal gratification of the individual who have put
themselves in charge?
I was ejected from the writers' circle not by common consent of the
members, but by Mr gutteridge himself. It seems that he and he alone decided
that I should no longer be a member. And the coward didn't even have the
courage to tell me to my face, thus saving him from having to answer to his
actions.
If Mr M.E himself is reading this here is a message for you christopher.
I no longer have any desire
whatsoever to participate in any group of which you are a member. In fact you
can take your serpent and shove that up your posterior along with your superior
attitude. Perhaps you resent me because I work for a living? As Jim Royle would
probably have said in the circumstances.
"M.E, my a**e."
I know for a fact that there was no
discussion or vote taken. I am convinced that Mr gutteridge took it upon
himself to decide that I was no longer welcome. I have no grudge against anyone
else who is a member, or who may wish to join the writer’s circle. However I
fear it will always be hampered by the unelected dead wood lording it over the
plebs as the president who can do no wrong, and whose word is law. There is no
committee just the grand Poobah.
I apologise if anybody joined
because of the website I ran. I also apologise that I helped keep the grand
Poobah in place by organising a writing competition, thus boosting the circle
funds. If there are any budding writers in the Kings Lynn area who would like
to become members of a writers circle not run by jumped up Little Hitlers Email
me soonest please.
